The device has a mobile carrier (2), on which multiple blowing stations (8) are arranged. Each blowing station comprises blow mold carrier parts (6a) to hold blow mold parts. One of the blow mold carrier parts is moved against the other blow mold carrier part to open and close the blow mold. Each blowing station has a carrier element (82) to carry the blow mold carrier part. The blow mold carrier parts together with the carrier element form a unit (80) which is demounted as a whole from the carrier. An independent claim is included for a method for demounting or mounting a device for forming plastic preforms into plastic containers.
