<p>An image forming apparatus (100) adjusts a gamma-LUT of a gamma correction circuit (25) in accordance with density data on a measurement image formed on a photosensitive drum (1). A CPU (28) selects a conversion table (42a-42d) in association with the image formation condition such as laser power of a semiconductor laser (31), fixing temperature of a fixing device (10), or a charge in a developer (4). A luminance/density converting portion (42) converts luminance data on the measurement image into density data using the conversion table (42a-42d) selected by the CPU (28) . The CPU (28) adjusts a contrast potential and a gamma-LUT using this density data.</p> |
