The invention relates to a device for adding insoluble solid powder additives to tobacco. In a conventional cigarette-making machine of the type including a conveyor belt or the like, a strip of paper is provided, onto which the tobacco is dispensed from a series of dispensers. Subsequently, an adhesive is applied to the strip of paper and the latter is sealed to form a cigarette. The conventional cigarette-making machine includes tobacco dispensers and a suction system to ensure correct distribution of the tobacco on the strip of paper, and the device is placed between said tobacco dispensers and the suction system and is characterised in that same includes a mould having a tapered section, weighing dispensers of the insoluble solid powder additive and an extractor hood provided with a suction system.
