In a gas shielded arc welding torch, the gas nozzle has a thick-walled tip 3 and a portion in the rear of the tip of plural wall construction, the walls 4, 5 being concentric and spaced and each outer wall being substantially thicker than the adjacent inner wall. The shielding gas may be argon and the electrode may be consumable or non-consumable. In a torch having a grooved or finned contact and guide tube 14 with end slots 12, the outer wall 4 and the tip 3 are of copper and the inner wall 5 is a removable stainless steel shell having a polished outer surface. |
