A fastening device comprises a filament 1 having a conical head 3 and a resilient, slotted socket 2, the head being engageable in the socket and the neck 11 behind the head being severable to allow the head to be withdrawn from the socket. The device is attached to a tag T by expanding the end of a protuberance on the filament in a hole in the tag. The socket may have an external groove for securing the tag. Enlargements 6 and 7 on the filament facilitate the insertion of the head 3 into the socket 2 and limit the extent of the insertion.</p> |
