PURPOSE: A tri-axial compression tester and a tri-axial compression chamber thereof are provided to automatically apply pressure to a test piece using a servo actuator and a servo pressure controller. CONSTITUTION: A tri-axial compression tester comprises a tri-axial compression chamber(100), a confining pressure generator, a load apply unit(300), an unsaturated sample converter, and a controller. A test piece(S) is arranged inside the tri-axial compression chamber. The confining pressure generator applies confining pressure to the test piece. The load apply unit applies compressive force to the test piece. The unsaturated sample converter converts the test piece into an unsaturated sample. The controller controls the confining pressure generator, the load apply unit, and the unsaturated sample converter. |
