PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to improve power saving performance and to uniformize temperature rise of a cooler by controlling refrigerant introduced into the cooler. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a compressor(24), a condenser, a reducer(58), a cooler(7), a heating member, a refrigerant flow channel adjusting unit(60). The refrigerant flow channel adjusting unit blocks the refrigerant flow channel(52c). When driving for elimination frost of the cooler, the refrigerant flow is blocked by refrigerant flow channel adjusting unit and the compressor is stopped. When heating the cooler by the heating member, the refrigerant flow channel is opened after the cooler reaches to predetermined temperature.
