1,000,503. Conductor insulation. SHAWINIGAN RESINS CORPORATION. Oct. 12, 1961 [Feb. 6, 1961], No. 36642/61. Heading H1A. A metal conductor is coated with multiple layers of a cured polyvinyl acetal containing resin and of a polyester resin comprising either the polymeric reaction product of terephthalic acid or isophthalic acid or a mixture thereof, with anα,#-dihydric alcohol and a polyhydric alcohol containing at least three hydroxyl groups. Numerous examples are given both of the materials and of the synergistic effect produced by the multiple layers in that the heat resistance produced is better than the heat resistance of any of the layers would be on their own. Specifications 351,082, 531,273, 652,420 and 775,082 are referred to.
|
