<p>Quaternary ammonium cpds. of general formula: is a pyridinium, pyridazinium, 1-methyl-imidazolium residue, -A-R a 2-thienylethyl, 2-thienylvinyl or phenylvinyl residue, and X = an anion derived from an acid anti-hirudinea cpd. carrying at least one OH group), potent simultaneously against nematodes and hirudinea. Produced by reacting, in an aqs. medium or in an org. solvent, preferably an alkanol, an acidic anti-hirudinea cpd. with a quaternary ammonium cpd. carrying an anion other than the anti-hirudinea cpd., pref. a halide anion. Preferred cpds. for the anti-hirudinea cpds. are hexachlorophene or 4-cyano-2-iodo-6-nitrophenol derivs. as anions.</p> |
