TORQUE MEASURING DEVICE

The invention relates to the measuring devices of mechanical parameters, in particular to the torque measuring devices. The device consists of two discs 1 and 2 connected by calibrated elastically deformable plates 3 and 7 that transfer the torque. The sensor's driving disc 2 is mounted on the drive shaft, and the driven disc 1 is mounted on the console of drive shaft supported in easily rotating bearings. Outer ends of the elastic elements are fixed to the driven disc and the inner ends are fixed to the driving disk. Strain gauges 4 are mounted on the flexible plates 3 and convert mechanical deformation in the proportional electrical signal. The torque sensor has the advantage that by changing the number of elastic plates the sensor's maximum torque and sensitivity can easily be changed.
