PURPOSE: A method for producing a plant with improved yield property is provided to enhance crop yield. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a transgenic plant with improved yield comprises a step of transducing and expressing a nucleic acid encoding ExbB polypeptide in a plant; and a step of culturing plant cells under a condition where the growth and development of plants are promoted. ExbB polypeptide contains an InterPRo accession IPR002898 MotA/TolQ/ExbB proton channel domain. ExbB polypeptide also contains one or more additional transmembrane domain.
