FORECASTING METHOD OF RISK OF DEVELOPMENT OF GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT DISEASES IN NEWBORNS WITH VERY LOW BIRTH WEIGHT (VLBW)

Invention relates to a method of forecasting risk of development of gastrointestinal tract diseases in newborns with very low birth weight (VLBW). The method provides for measuring abdominal circumference at navel level on days 7-20 after birth, determination of newborn’s weight after birth and measuring abdominal circumference at the moment of birth. These data then are used in mathematical formula for evaluation of the risk.
