<p>The system (1) has a hood (10) and an air conditioning device (11) which is connected with the hood through an air duct (12). A plasma source for air treatment, has an air duct branch (120) which is provided between the hood and the air conditioning device. A spoiler (13) is provided in the region of the air duct branch and adjustable in three operating positions such as cleaning position, dissipation position and mixture position. An independent claim is included for method for operating the vapor extractor system.</p>
