PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to display data related to a selected object on an extra screen when the object is selected by a user. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays a plurality of objects. A detecting unit detects information related to an object selected from the objects by a user. When the object is selected from the objects by the user, a control unit(180) generates a second display window. The second display window is divided from a first display window for the objects. The control unit displays the information detected by the detecting unit on the generated second display window.
