PURPOSE: A gate valve with a dual disc structure is provided to prevent the malfunction of a valve due to accumulated internal pressure, by quickly discharging the pressure of a high pressure fluid accumulated in a hollow chamber to an outlet. CONSTITUTION: A gate valve with a dual disc structure comprises a valve body(101), a bonnet(110), a housing(120), a sleeve(130), a stem(140), a main disc(141), and a sub disc(190). The valve body has a fluid inlet in one side; a fluid outlet in the other side; a passage inside to connect the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet; and a disc placing groove at the center of the passage. The bonnet is coupled to the top of the valve body so that a hollow chamber(103) can be formed between the bonnet and the valve body. The bonnet has a through-hole at the center. The housing is coupled to the top of the bonnet and has a through-hole at the center. Part of a sleeve body is inserted and coupled into the through-hole of the housing, and part of the sleeve body is exposed and extended to the upper part of the housing. The upper part of the stem is coupled to the interior of the sleeve. A coupling end portion(140a) having a sub disc coupling groove portion(140e) is formed in the lower part of the stem extended to the hollow chamber. The main disc is formed at the top of a stem coupling groove portion(141a), and has a chamber pressure discharging passage(141d) inside. The sub disc opens and closes the chamber pressure discharging passage by being lifted up and down depending on the lifting of the stem. |
