A pre-chargeable battery for a portable device, a battery charging apparatus, and a battery charging method are provided to accurately measure the remaining charging amount of the battery by a simple design change of a protection circuit module of the battery. In a pre-chargeable battery for a portable device, a secondary battery cell(20) is rechargeable. A sense resistor(R1) is installed on a flow path of battery current. A switching element unit(30) selectively switches flow of the battery current. An IC(Integrated Circuit) element(80) monitors voltages of both ends of the battery cell and the current flowing through the sense resistor and controls the switching element unit to interrupt the flow of the current in overcharge or overdischarge of the battery cell. A first terminal(90) is connected to one terminal of the battery cell. A second terminal(110) is connected to the other terminal of the battery cell through the switching element unit. A third terminal(120) is connected to a charging level sensing line(70) directly connected to one of the terminals of the battery cell. |
