PURPOSE: A container for sterilizing and collecting waste electrophysiology catheters and a catheter treatment method using the same are provided to prevent secondary infection by safely sterilizing waste electrophysiology catheters while collecting the waste electrophysiology catheters. CONSTITUTION: A container for sterilizing and collecting waste electrophysiology catheters comprises a container body(1), a stopper(2), and a cap part. The container body is filled with the disinfection chemicals and has an opened spout. The stopper is detachably coupled to the spout and has a mounting groove. The top of the mounting groove is recessed and a through-hole is formed on the bottom surface of the mounting groove. The cap part is inserted and fixed in the mounting groove and blocks the through-hole to be opened. The catheter is inserted in the cap part in a longitudinal direction thereof. |
