PURPOSE: A motor driving device and a method thereof having an initial correction function are provided to correspond to different feature whenever a motor is changed by providing an initial correction function in order to correspond to a feature drift or a motor change. CONSTITUTION: A current detecting unit(100) detects voltage corresponding to a driving current flowing in a motor(60). A peak value detecting unit(200) detects the peak value of detection voltage detected by the current detecting unit. An A/D converting unit(300) converts a detection voltage from the peak value detecting unit into a digital signal. A driving control unit(400) drives the motor in an initial driving section. The driving control unit corrects the offset of the drive current of the motor based on a digital signal from the A/C converting unit.
