The invention is a steel frame apparatus installed in a safe manner to provide support for the construction of a concrete (Shotcrete) bulkhead. In underground mines, bulkheads / barricades are used to contain solid material, liquids or as ventilation stops. The bulkhead sites are in dangerous areas and the installation of the bulkheads must follow the Mining Act. The Timony DT1947 onsite assembled apparatus meets the Mining Act requirements and the engineering containment specifications for use as a bulkhead and not only a barricade. The main steel components are an anchored top support beams, a locked wall frame matrix and an adjustable turnbuckle brace. |
