PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device including thereof are provided to improve the intensity and reliability of a sheet hanger. CONSTITUTION: A sheet hanger(147) includes a connection part(147b) between opening parts(147a). The sheet hanger fixes an optical sheet(146) to a sheet fixing part of a cover bottom. The opening parts are combined with the sheet fixing part. The connection part improves the intensity of the sheet hanger.
