PURPOSE: A rotary electric machine for a vehicle and a pulley cover structure thereof are provided to prevent the opening portion of a pulley unit from being exposed by inserting the pillar portion into a hexagonal hole portion and fitting bulge portion for a second circular hole portion. CONSTITUTION: A cover(9) covers an opening portion opened in the axial cross section of a pulley unit. The cover is made of a resin material. The cover includes multiple pillar portions(92). The pillar portion comprises a plane portion(90) and a bulge portion(90A). The bulge portion is located in a position corresponding to a second circular hole portion(80D).
