<p>PURPOSE: A digital pen system and a display device are provided to implement stable writing on a display surface without the need to include an infrared ray source in a digital pen by discharging visible rays and infrared rays and forming an information pattern in the display device or on a surface thereof. CONSTITUTION: A display device(100) forms an information pattern inside or on a surface and discharge infrared rays and visible rays. A digital pen(20) includes an image sensor sensing the information pattern and the infrared rays. The information pattern forms a virtual grid line at regular intervals and includes a mark(113) around an intersection point of the virtual grid line. A mark value is differentiated depending on positions of the mark and the intersection point of the virtual grid line. The digital pen includes an infrared ray source to operate the infrared ray source when infrared rays over certain amount are not discharged.</p> |
