A digital image processing apparatus using magnification conversion and a method for converting magnification in the digital image processing apparatus are provided to magnify an image with intermediate magnification and then magnify or reduce the magnified image to reduce the number of operations. A digital image processing apparatus using magnification conversion includes a zoom key and a controller. A zoom key signal is inputted through the zoom key to magnify or reduce a display image. The controller magnifies a captured image with intermediate magnification and displays the magnified image when the zoom key signal is first received. And then the controller magnifies or reduces the magnified image and displays the magnified or reduced image when the zoom key signal is received. |
