PURPOSE: A method for designing the assembly of objects in a CAD system and a system thereof are provided to easily monitoring and designing a mechanical system by using an interaction between logic components and 3D geometric elements of the system. CONSTITUTION: A 3D geometrically modeled object including 3D geometric elements is provided(90). A logically modeled object including logic components is provided(91). Sets of the 3D geometric elements are related with sets of the logic components(92). Expressions of the sets of the logic components partially overlapped are displayed on the sets corresponding to the geometric elements(93). The expressions of the logic components are designed by directly linking expressions including an anchor point with the sets corresponding to the geometric elements.
