PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent a connecting member from being carelessly rotated in a first rotation position. CONSTITUTION: An approaching and separating tool connects a transfer body to an image maintenance body when a connecting member is rotated in a connecting state in which the connecting member is connected to the approaching and separating tool. When the connecting member is reversely rotated from a first rotation position to a second rotation position, the approaching and separating tool separates the transfer body from the image maintenance body. The connecting member is removed for separating the transfer body from the image maintenance body by using the approaching and separating tool in the second rotation position. |
