The method involves recognizing images of an image stream in a predetermined scene (S51), and modifying the image sequence by applying a digital zoom to the images of the image stream in the predetermined scene (S54). The image stream is derived from re-transmission of a sporting event, where the predetermined scene includes marking lines of a sports field, and the images are recognized by recognition of the marking lines on the sports field. A change of sequence in the images of the image stream is detected (S58) by statistical analysis of the characteristics of pixels of the images.
