#CMT# #/CMT# The torch (1) has an elongate wood piece comprising a hole (2) continuously formed and running towards a longitudinal axis (L) from a front end (2c) up to another front end (2d) of the wood piece. The two front ends run vertical to a direction of the longitudinal axis. The hole is designed in a cylindrical shape and has constant inner diameter in a range between 1 cm and 14 cm. The hole centrally runs relative the wood piece. Supply holes (4) run from an outer side (1a) of the wood piece to the hole for supplying air to the hole. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a holding device comprising a support part. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Torch. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The elongate wood piece has the hole continuously formed and running towards the longitudinal axis from the front end up to another front end of the wood piece, so that fresh air is sucked into the hole from bottom, thus increasing fresh air within the hole and enabling mixing of the air with combustion gases for allowing burning of the hole from inner side. The torch thus achieves sufficient degree of dryness and pleasing burning behavior while avoiding contamination by charred wood pieces.
