PURPOSE: A robot cleaner, a terminal device, and a remote control system of the robot cleaner and a method thereof are provided to remotely control the robot cleaner and to check the condition of the robot cleaner in real time. CONSTITUTION: A robot cleaner comprises a communications unit, a control unit, and an image detecting unit. The communication unit receives a control signal from an external terminal device and transmits an answer signal with respect to the control signal. The control unit controls the robot cleaner according to the control signal and generates the answer signal according to the control result. The control unit extracts order for starting or stopping cleaning from the control signal. The image detecting unit films surroundings and generates information of the image.
