摘要 PURPOSE: A method and a system for robot coverage in an unknown environment are provided to reduce overall memory usage through encoding by a grey code group when performing grid cell searching and coverage. CONSTITUTION: A method for robot coverage comprises the following steps: dividing a work space into grid cells with a predetermined size; moving a robot to an adjacent cell, expanding the sweeping area of the robot, and searching for the work space(S240); and generating a cell group with a grey code which is modeling the work space according to the movement of the robot.
