PURPOSE: A device for measuring the performance of a web application program having the separated connection of a service request and a response and a method thereof are provided to compute the capacity of a web application server having separated HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) connection by measuring and recording the performance of the web application server. CONSTITUTION: A virtual user server generating unit(110) generates a virtual user server to evaluate the performance of a web application program providing a service from a service providing server to a user server. A connection generating unit(120) generates a first connection receiving a service response from the service providing server and a second connection for transmitting a service request from the virtual user server to the service providing server. A performance evaluating unit(130) transmits the service request through the second connection and obtains/stores performance information related to the performance of the web application program during the reception of the service response through the first connection.
