ANTI-ALPHA V BETA 6 ANTIBODIES

A monoclonal antibody or an antigen binding fragment thereof that (a) specifically binds to ±v²6 but does not bind other av integrins; and (b) does not inhibit the binding of ²6 to latency associated peptide (LAP) with an IC50 value lower than that of 10D5.
Said monoclonal antibody, wherein the antibody comprises
a) the same heavy and light chain polypeptide sequences as an antibody produced by hybridoma 6. 2A1 (ATCC accession number PTA-3896) or
b) the same heavy and light chain polypeptide sequences as an antibody produced by hybridoma 6.2E5 (ATCC accession number PTA-3897). The disclosure also relates to uses of same and to compositions comprising same.
