<p>Insertion unit consisting of several glass plates bent about one axis is produced by supporting two bent plates in a horizontal position with the end areas facing each other, moving the plates parallel to the bending axis of the plates along fixed concentrated heat sources, applying heat to the straight edges of the plate which are parallel to the axes to bend and melt them together. The plates are moved along the path to a second heating area and stopped. Moving sources of concentrated heat are then moved in a bent path about the axis to heat the bent edges of the plates.</p> |
