PURPOSE: An anti-fouling agent and an anti-fouling paint composition containing hexadecanol isomers are provided to ensure excellent anti-fouling effects without marine pollutants. CONSTITUTION: An anti-fouling agent contains one or more kinds selected from hexadecanol isomers of chemical formulas 1-8 as active ingredients. An anti-fouling paint composition contains one or more kinds selected from the hexadecanol isomers. The anti-fouling composition further contains an additive. The anti-fouling paint composition contains 10-20 wt% of resin, 30-40 wt% of a solvent, 40-50 wt% of a pigment, 1-10 wt% of an anti-fouling agent, and 0.7-1 wt% of an additive.
