PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for the prevention, cure or improvement of diabetes and composition for a health functional food that includes chives are provided to prevent or to improve diabetes without toxicity or side effects to human body being composed of natural substances which have been used for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for the prevention, cure or improvement of diabetes includes chives. A composition for a health functional food includes chives. Chives are compositions which are crude extracts from a group of solvents which is the pulverized product of chives, the filtered liquid of the pulverized product, a dried and pulverized product, water, C1-C4 alcohol and its combinations. The chives are the enfleurage extracts of ethanol. The forms are powders, granules, refinement, capsules, suspension, emulsion, syrup, liquid, aerosol, extract, injections, percutaneous injections or suppository. The forms are liquid, aerosol, powders, granules, refinements, capsules, pills, extracts, tea, jelly or drink. When extracts of chieves ethanol 100~0.01 microgram per milliliter are dealt, toxicity will not affect as the survival rate of 3T3-L1 whole fat cells are remained over 100% in every concentrations. |
