<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent density adjustment and positioning from being executed at different timing. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 110 determines whether density adjustment execution conditions have been satisfied or not (step S1) every time an image is formed on one sheet. When the density adjustment execution conditions have been satisfied (step S1: YES), the control section 110 determines whether positioning early execution conditions have been satisfied or not (step S2). When the positioning early execution conditions have not been satisfied (step S2: NO), the control section 110 executes density adjustment (step S5) and terminates the processing. In the step S2, if the positioning early execution conditions have been satisfied (step S2: YES), the control section 110 executes the density adjustment first (step S3).
