PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positively-charged single-layered electrophotographic photoreceptor that suppresses generation of image failure by suppressing a transfer memory, in an image forming apparatus including a DC voltage application-type charging unit employing a contact charging method; and an image forming apparatus that includes the positively-charged single-layered electrophotographic photoreceptor as an image carrier.

SOLUTION: The positively-charged single-layered electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate, and contains a triaryl amine derivative represented by the following general formula (1) used as a hole transport agent.
