<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device that can properly and briefly set pressure for sucking a recording sheet according to the type of the recording sheet and the position of an apical end of the recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet conveyance device includes: a conveyance means 5, a platen 33, a suction means 500, a displacement sensor 700 detecting the height of lifted part of the recording sheet from a surface of the platen, and a control part 90 controlling the suction means 500 using suction control data. The control part 90 allows the displacement sensor 700 to detect the height of the lifted part under a plurality of different conditions of respective suction pressure when the control part makes the conveyance means 5 convey the recording sheet so that the apical end of the recording sheet is equal to the platen 33. Moreover, the control part 90 calculates flexural rigidity and curvature of the recording sheet being conveyed from the detected height under the respective conditions, specifies classification codes, refers to suction control data corresponding to the specified classification codes, and sets the suction pressure corresponding to the apical end of the recording sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
