<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel water overflow prevention device capable of automatically preventing a river from overflowing from a bank when the water level of a river rises, and eliminating the need for maintenance operation or a water overflow prevention structure for river using the water overflow prevention device. <P>SOLUTION: The water overflow prevention device includes a base plate 1 arranged on an upper surface of a bank B of a river R; a rotary plate 2 which is connected rotatably to the base plate 1 through a shaft 5, and projects horizontally toward the river R from the base plate 1 when the water level of the river R is lower than the height of the base plate 1 and rotates in a standing direction with water force flowing as the water level of the river R rises; stoppers 3, 6 which are arranged above the base plate 1, and stop the rotary plate 1 from rotating more than predetermined times when the rotary plate 2 stands. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
