A power management device is used in combination with a controlled device, and is electrically connected to a power system. The power management device comprises an energy storage module, a switching module and a comparison module. The energy storage module is electrically connected to the controlled device. The switching module is electrically connected to the energy storage module. The comparison module is electrically connected to the switching module and receives a detection signal. The comparison module generates a period signal according to the detection signal and controls the switching module. The energy storage module storages energy in a period of the period signal, and releases the electric energy stored in the period in other periods after the period. Thereby, the power management device effectively protects the controlled device and avoids loss of power, and meanwhile stores and recycles the surplus power supply. |
