The assembly (1) has a holder (7) interconnecting a bearing bracket (3) and a lock (5). The bearing bracket and the lock comprise fastening elements for fastening the lock assembly at a motor car door (9). The holder comprises a prefixing element (13) e.g. hook, which is formed and arranged such that the lock assembly is prefixed at the motor car door by the prefixing element before the lock assembly is attached at the motor car door with the fastening elements. The holder is displaceable from one position into another position relative to the lock and/or the bearing bracket. An independent claim is also included for a motor car door.
