Wall systems according to certain embodiments of the present invention provide a means for finishing interior walls such as basement walls. In certain embodiments of the present invention, wall panels offer several options for light switches, plug outlets, cable outlets a communication box outlets. In other embodiments of the present invention, wall panels are provided with a means for eliminating or reducing the need for taping and filling that is used in conventional drywall finishing.
