PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azaphthalocyanine compound giving printed matter excellent in color purity and storage stability such as ozone resistance; a coloring composition including the azaphthalocyanine compound; inkjet ink; an inkjet recording method; a color filter and color toner.

SOLUTION: There is provided an azaphthalocyanine compound having a nitrogen-containing ring in which a substituent having specific oxidation potential is introduced on the side chain. The compound is a substituted azaphthalocyanine compound (a mixture) in which at least one benzene ring, pyridine ring or pyrazine ring is introduced in the phthalocyanine mother nucleus, and further a specific substituent having at least one sulphone group is introduced in a specific substituting position.
