<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a configuration capable enhancing the strength, in a battery unit where multiple columnar batteries are interconnected electrically. <P>SOLUTION: The battery unit comprises a plurality of battery arrays (10) where multiple columnar batteries (11) are interconnected electrically while being arranged so that the axes of respective batteries (11) are in parallel with each other, and a base plate (21) with which the plurality of battery arrays (10) are connected electrically.
