<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the hematocrit value of a blood sample. <P>SOLUTION: In providing a blood sample to a sample analyzing device having a working electrode and a counter electrode, an electric potential is applied between the electrodes and an electric current is determined, to calculate an initial fill velocity of the sample to the device.
