<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion detector capable of obtaining a moving speed of an object to be measured by immediately detecting a moving direction of the object even when the moving direction is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The motion detector: determines that a moving direction of an object to be measured is reversed when the central pixel has a peak vote value among vote values of pixels corresponding to a feature area; classifies vote values of pixels corresponding to each feature area into vote values under influence before direction change and vote values under influence after direction change when the moving direction is reversed; corrects the vote values of pixels corresponding to each feature area based on the vote values under influence after direction change and calculates a speed of the object. Consequently, the motion detector can immediately recognize a moving direction when the moving direction of the object is changed, to reflect it to the detection of a moving speed of the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
