<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system, when a print request to a Web server performed by an image forming apparatus includes a setting related to a file format conversion, capable of appropriately executing a file format conversion process according to the setting. <P>SOLUTION: A Web server 102 gives a print instruction to a print service 470 according to a print request requested from an image forming apparatus 101, and causes the print service 470 to perform a file format conversion according to the setting and to generate print data. The image forming apparatus 101 acquires the print data from the Web server to execute the printing, notifies the print service 470 of the print state whenever a print state is changed, and causes the print service 470 to manage it.
