<p>Provided are an air cleaning device wherein an ion generation unit can be detached from a device body and used independently, and an ion generation unit. An ion generation unit (2) is detachably provided to a device body (1), and when the ion generation unit is attached to the device body (1), a battery for the ion generation unit (2) is charged by power supply from the device body (1). Since being more compact and lightweight than the entire air cleaning device (5), the ion generation unit (2) is detached from the device body (1) and carried independently. When the ion generation unit is not attached to the device body (1), driving electric power is supplied from the battery to respective parts of the ion generation unit (2). At this time, air is sucked from the outside to the inside of a second ventilation passage (42) through second suction ports (43, 43) by the sending of air by a second blower (41), and the sucked air, together with ions generated by an ion generation part (40), is blown from the inside to the outside of the second ventilation passage (42) through a second blowout port (44).</p> |
