<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery capable of stably exerting high output even in a low SOC region. <P>SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery of the present invention includes a collector and an active material layer containing active material particles 10 held by the collector. The active material particle 10 is a secondary particle 14 comprising an aggregate of a plurality of primary particles 12 of a lithium transition metal oxide, and has a hollow structure including a hollow part 16 formed in an inside of the secondary particle 14 and a shell part 15 surrounding the hollow part 16. In the secondary particle 14, a through hole 18 penetrating from an outside to the hollow part 16 is formed. Here, in a powder X-ray diffraction pattern of the active material particle 10, a ratio (A/B) between a half-value width A of a diffraction peak derived from (003) face and a half-value width B of a diffraction peak derived from (104) face satisfies the following expression: (A/B)≤0.7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
