<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently carry out treatment for making it possible to use waste materials including waste timbers and waste gypsum boards as fuel. <P>SOLUTION: A treating apparatus 1 has a crusher 11 for crushing the waste materials 40, a sprayer 22 for washing for washing the crushed materials by spraying water to the same, a hot-air dryer 24 for drying the washed crushed materials, a fan 26 for sorting paper materials included in the crushed materials, and the second conveyer 14 for conveying the crushed materials.
