<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a convention polymer actuator that when a polymer actuator body is driven, a sealing member closely contacts with an electrode of the polymer actuator body and friction occurs therebetween, resulting in the inhibition of the movement of the polymer actuator body. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing type polymer actuator comprises: a thin plate like polymer actuator body having multiple electrode layers; and a film like sealing member sealing the polymer actuator body. The sealing member is formed so as to have a space in the driving direction of the polymer actuator body, and a fluid is enclosed in the sealing member so as to prevent surfaces of the sealing member and the polymer actuator body from closely contacting with each other when the polymer actuator body is driven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
